Negotiation is a process where two or more parties with different needs and goals discuss an issue to find a mutually acceptable solution. In business, negotiation skills are important in both informal day-to-day interactions and formal transactions, at all levels and with both internal and external stakeholder.

Good negotiation skills will strengthen your organization’s business success and can strengthen the culture of excellence whilst preserving relationships. As the skills needed in negotiation may not be second nature to many, it is a teachable skill because it involves a technical and systematic approach to mastering it .
